The DIRECTV Reverse Band 5 Satellite UltraHD 4K Legacy LNB (SL5KRB) is engineered for compatibility with all Slimline dish models, enabling reception from satellites at 99°, 101°, 110°, 119°, and 103°. This versatility ensures access to HD, Ultra HD, and native 4K broadcasts.

Designed as a direct replacement for legacy SL5 LNBs, it simplifies upgrades without requiring dish replacement or realignment. The SL5KRB mounts directly onto your existing Slimline satellite dish arm. Because you're upgrading from a legacy LNB to a Reverse Band 4K LNB, you must manually update the Dish Type setting in your receiver's system menu to correctly interpret the updated satellite frequencies. This one-time configuration ensures proper signal reception and 4K channel access.

For multi-receiver setups, pair the SL5KRB with a SWM-30 switch to expand your installation across your home. With older legacy switches like the Zinwell 6x8 or SWM8, the LNB will deliver standard HD channels normally. However, because 4K programming requires the 5th and 6th Reverse Band frequency lines and older switches only support 4 satellite inputs, you will not be able to access live 4K channels with legacy hardware. Upgrading to the SWM-30 unlocks full 4K capability and future-proofs your system.
