Directv Pi-21 SWM Power Inserter

The Directv PI-21 21 Volt power inserter is ONLY designed for use with SWM LNBs. It provides 21 volts of power for the built-in multiswitch inside the dish assembly. It is not designed to power an external multiswitch.

The  Directv 21 Volt Power Inserter (PI-21) is specifically designed for use with the Single Wire SlimLine Dish Antenna. This is necessary for installing the Slimline SL5-S and the SL3-S dish.

DIRECTV specs suggest connecting the power inserter one of three ways. On SWM-enabled dishes, a single line is run to a splitter. A cable is run from the red connection on the splitter into the “Power to SWM” connection on the power inserter. Then, a cable is run from the “Signal to IRD”
