The 3D2LNBR0 is a high-performance LNB (Low Noise Block) designed for DirecTV satellite systems. This unit combines dual-band reception capabilities with reliable signal capture, making it ideal for users seeking consistent HD and 4K content delivery.
What does "dual-band" mean? In satellite television, dual-band means the LNB can receive signals from two different frequency ranges broadcast by satellites. The Ku-Band transmits traditional HD and SD channels, while the Ka-Band is a newer, higher-frequency band that DirecTV uses for 4K Ultra-HD broadcasts and local HD channels. By combining both bands into one dual-band LNB, your dish can pull in older HD/SD signals and the latest 4K content simultaneously without needing two separate dish setups.
Compatibility spans a wide range of DirecTV receivers, including HR24, H25, and most modern DirecTV DVR and standard receivers manufactured within the last decade. It works seamlessly with both standard and genie-based systems, ensuring broad compatibility across DirecTV's receiver lineup.
Installation is straightforward plug-and-play—no specialized tools or technical expertise required. The LNB connects directly to your existing dish assembly with standard connectors.
To replace your current LNB, first power down your receiver and disconnect the coaxial cables from the existing unit. Loosen the mounting bracket securing the old LNB to the dish arm, then carefully slide it out. Position your new 3D2LNBR0 into the bracket, ensuring proper alignment with the dish's focal point. Tighten the mounting bracket securely, then reconnect the coaxial cables to the corresponding ports. Power your receiver back on and allow 2-3 minutes for signal acquisition. Your system should automatically detect the new LNB and resume normal operation.
